Summary
Main stable type arched door to engine room of saw mill. From outside, top right hand door. Consists of nine vertical jointed planks fixed to horizontal planks on the inside. Joints outside and in made by long rectangular dowels. Two cast iron hinges fixed with bolts through both skins of the door. Top hinge branches into two arms with the top one mirroring the shape of the arch. Top hinge fixed with thirteen bolts. Bottom hinge is straight and fixed with sven bolts. All hinges end in two leaf clover shape. Bottom left is cast iron rose with door handle missing and a keyhole. Bottom centre above lower hinge is short cast iron angle piece with two bolts used for padlocking door. Along bottom edge is a worn wooden drip bar. A brass lock made by Hobbs (and) Co is set into the edge of the door. Inside a cast iron bar is bolted along the arched edge and down three-quarters of the leading edge to strengthen the door. Two wooden turning catches at bottom of door. Also an iron rose and drop handle in bottom right corner.
