Summary
Print, engraving, View of Windsor Castle from Clewer (after Joseph Farington) by Joseph Constantine Stadler (b.Germany - fl. London 1780-1812). Coloured print of Windsor Castle with cream surround and gilt narrow mount. Glass front and outer frame in black wood. The print has two double lines and a grey centre framing the picture. Along the bottom in italics J. Farington R.A. delt. Pub. June 1 1793, by J. and J. Boydell, Shakespeare. View of WINDSOR from Clewer. Gallery Pall, Mall. and Cheapside. J.C. Stadler Sculpt. On rear - wooden backing with brown paper surround, damaged. Two brass plates screwed on to bottom edge of frame by two screw holes, plate has rounded protrusion with hole in centre. Two rusted metal rings, one each side of the frame near top, with brown cord attached.
