Summary
Pencil and watercolour on paper, Exterior of the Rooms occupied by Gladstone and Ruskin at Christ Church College, Oxford by Charles Dawson Bowling (fl.1917), circa 1917. Gilt frame, highly decorative, slightly damaged on edges. Reverse - wooden panel and dark brown tape. Paper label in centre - written (script) in black ink - No. III. Exterior of the rooms occupied/by Gladstone and Ruskin/Christ Church College/Oxford/also by George A. Gibbs in 1892-3. Then a line. Under the line - Charles Dawson Bowling/3 South View Rd./Walton/Peterborough./Exhibited in The Royal Academy. 1917. Written in white chalk along top of reverse - BOWLING C.D./909. Blue and white coloured pencil mark - D alongside left of label.
