Summary
Print, engraving, Pat's Comment on Steam Engines published by G. Humphrey (1773-1831). Entitled PAT'S COMMENT ON STEAM ENGINES. In script - by and bye Man will go a hunting after breakfast upon his Tay-kettle. Also written above the title but below painting - A Tharpshooter, foc. London: pub. by G. Humphrey, 24, St. James Street, August 28 1829. The picture is a person sitting on a kettle cracking a whip, with a cream surround. On the reverse is a small buff coloured label bottom centre - W. JEWELL/3 LOWER PARK ROW/BRISTOL/PICTURE FRAME MAKER ETC. Frame is dark wood with gilt decoration. No label on the reverse.
