Summary
A mid-Victorian satin birch cabinet chest attributed to C. Hindley and Sons. The superstructure has a rounded rectangular and cavetto-moulded cornice surmounted by a pierced scrolling cresting with fleur-de-lys, above a pair of panelled doors, the hinges stamped HORNE PATENT enclosing a shelf. The chest section has two short and two long mahogany and cedar-lined drawers on bun feet. There are some losses to the veneers.
