Print, engraving, Winkle (after Herbert Carmichael) by Edward Gilbert Hester (c.1843 – St Albans 1903)A signed coloured print of the head and shoulders of a young girl entitled; WINKLE. The print is signed in pencil bottom left; Herbert Carmichael. Bottom right it is signed; E G Hester. There is some water damage to the mount. The print is in a plain wood and gilt frame. On the back at the top is a typewritten label reading; WINKLE / Painted by Herbert Carmichael: / Engraved by Miss E.M. Hester / The original picture is in / private possession, but the / owner does not wish to have / his name made public. At the bottom is printed label reading; W.
