Summary
The first of two boot hooks in nickel plated steel with ivory handle that is rounded on top and has two indentations underneath where fingers would fit. Handle has the Battle Axes crest in centre of one side and hairline cracks on both sides of the join with the hook shaft which is secured by a rivet. Hook is rounded along the shaft, marked with five engraved circles near the top and has a small shoulder at the joint with the handle. At the hook the steel is squared with a small knob at the end of the hook. Nickel plating wearing off in places.
