Summary
Framed epistle in gilded ebony frame. Handwritten epistle in black script, titled in red St. Jerome's Epistle to Leta on the / Bringing-up of her beloved daughter. Sub-heading St. Jerome - 342 AD - 420 AD. Underneath epistle is written in red on left hand side - Transcribed from the Medici Book Charmers and Catiffs, and on right hand side - By Eve Allen for Lady Wraxall ... Durban Castle 1955. Labelled on the back (white paper) with handwritten Lord Wraxall in blue ink on left hand side.
