Summary
Golden oriole and song thrush, mounted ‘hanging as dead’ hunting trophies in oval wall dome. There were once three birds here, one is missing, probably due to removal following insect damage. It's remains are visible. In fact this is an oval domed glass panel in a wall-hanging oak frame. This is a very characteristic piece of French taxidermy, probably by the Paris firm of Ledot.
