Summary
Pastel on paper, Colonel William Conyngham MP (1723-1774) by Hugh Douglas Hamilton (Dublin 1736 – Dublin 1808). A framed panel oval half-length portrait of a man, turned slightly to the right gazing to the right wearing a red velvet coat, white waistcoat ann white linen stock. Powdered hair, tied at the back with a black ribbon.

Purchased by National Trust in 1957 from William Lowry Lenox-Conyngham (1903–1957), shortly before his death, along with the other contents of Springhill
