Full description
Percussion pistol, English c1840. Round iron barrel with flattened top, stamped with Birmingham proof marks. Under-rib with ramrod housing. Brass fore-sight and integral raised rear sight on breech strap. Stirrup form ramrod. Barrel length 9.2cm. Calibre 17mm. Walnut stock of rounded form with slightly flared pommel. The grip chequered and the pommel with a silver band and vacant escutcheon. Scroll form trigger. Engraved iron frame with percussion box-lock action. The frame formed with an extended lower tang for attaching the wooden stock. Side mounted hammer and round form iron trigger guard. Overall length: 23cm
