Summary
A 1930's hens egg Glevum Economy incubator, by H.W. Stephens Incubator Maker of Gloucester. Comprising a wooden frame on 4 legs, with a sliding wooden-framed wire-mesh tray for supporting eggs. Fixed to one side is a paraffin heater which would blow warm air over and around the eggs; now converted to electricity with a 3-round pin socket and a light bulb is attached to the heater. Labels 'Glevum Economy', '...aker, Gloucester'. A 'Superior' model c.1940's was aimed at the pheasant market.
