Summary
Sprung tip cart or tumbril. Miller's cart. Sprung, two-wheeled road cart. Once owned by J.H. Cock and Sons, Miller of Meldreth, Cambs. The body was once fitted with a canvas cover (a tilt) to keep grain or flour dry. The maker is unknown, but the cart was made in the Meldreth area in the early 1920's. A ladder has subsequently been fitted to the front of the cart to extend the carrying capacity.
