Summary
A Chinese yellow metal and silver mounted cloisonné enamel and celadon jade chatelaine, circa 1900, with tape measure, thimble case, scissor-case and scent bottle. The jade is set with cabochon rubies. Hinged brooch at top with silver clasp with carved flower detail. Brooch face is painted with bird and flower detail. Carved jade lion's head with ruby eyes. Attached by gold coloured chain, circular scent bottle painted with bird and flower details. Jade stopper has centrally placed ruby. Painted scissor-case has stork and flower details, with removable lid which has carved lion's head with ruby eyes. Case is lined with teal blue velvet. Circular tape measure case decorated with flowers, carved jade and ruby. Small gold dragon design handle to wind in tape measure on back of case. Painted thimble case has carved jade lid and painted bird motif decoration.
