Summary
Bronze, Prince Frederick Augustus, Duke of York and Albany (1763-1827), after Joseph Nollekens (1737-1823), c. 1823-30. A reduced reproduction of Joseph Nollekens' bust of Frederick, Duke of York (Royal Collection Trust, RCIN 31621), in patinated bronze. The Duke of York facing to proper right, and wearing a toga over armour in the classical manner. Mounted on a patinated bronze socle and cylindrical pedestal.
Provenance
Part of the Bambridge Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1976 by Mrs Elsie Bambridge (1896-1976)
