Full description
A view from the south-east towards the Chicheley chapel. It is not clear whether the images of The Holy Family and The Crucifixion shown hanging to either side of the basket-arched opening between the nave and the chapel are proposals by Richardson or records of paintings, or textiles, that have since been lost. Provenance
Bequeathed by Elsie Kipling, Mrs George Bambridge (1896 – 1976), daughter of Rudyard Kipling, to the National Trust together with Wimpole Hall, all its contents and an estate of 3000 acres.
