Summary
Unknown architect [signature indecipherable]. Plan and elevations for a draft lobby for the Entrance Hall to Wimpole Hall, Cambridgeshire, undated, inscribed '[...] Plan for a Second Door inside the Hall', pen and ink with pencil, mounted on conservation paper (414 x 544mm). Proposal for a draft lobby with a shell canopy for the entrance hall. The first part of the inscription, possibly 'W. Blaeshy' is indistinct. Charles Philip Yorke, 4th Earl of Hardwicke (1799 - 1873); bequeathed by Elsie Kipling, Mrs George Bambridge (1896 – 1976), daughter of Rudyard Kipling, to the National Trust together with Wimpole Hall, all its contents and an estate of 3000 acres.
