A tilbury carriage with a couple, at centre, travelling along a narrow country road, at right, a soldier on guard carries a rifle, looking behind him; at left, a man on horseback gestures to a dog below him at left; beyond at left, another man on horseback; beyond at left, trees and a sign post affixed to a tree-trunk, a wall at centre, and at right, a thatched cottage; from the first series of 'Panidochème ou toutes sortes de voitures'. 1827-28
