Gouache on paper, 'H.R.H. the Duke of Cambridge and Party at the Opera' inscribed. Adolphus Frederick, 1st Duke of Cambridge (1773-1850) was the seventh son of George III, a Field-Marshal, and Viceroy of Hanover from 1816 to 1837.
Provenance
Part of the Bambridge Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1976 by Mrs Elsie Bambridge (1896-1976)
