Summary
Bust, hard paste porcelain, miniature scale, square base with socle, the bust depicting a man wearing a bicorn hat with large feather plume and rosette at the front, a sash over his proper left shoulder, the figure turning to his proper right, possibly Royal Naples Porcelain Factory, ca 1800-1820; decorated with coloured glazes and overglaze enamels, the face in flesh tones, the hat black with puce rosette, the plume puce and in the white, the sash puce and his bodice green and yellow.
Provenance
Part of the Bambridge Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1976 by Mrs Elsie Bambridge (1896-1976)
