One of a pair of ebonised beech(?) and canvas folding armchairs, English, early 20th century. Each with a green canvas back and seat, slatted arms and square section legs tied by hinged stretchers.
Provenance
Lamb House was presented to the National Trust in 1950 by the widow of Henry James's nephew and heir, Henry James, Jr, "to be preserved as an enduring symbol of the ties that unite the British and American people."
