Summary
A fire-grate, wrought-iron oblong with an ornate cast iron canopy depicting dragons and a phoenix, which is supported either side on ornate cast iron brackets .The back of grate is cast iron with a central arched backplate cast with initials AG within a rose above date,1890. . Behind this and to each side are tiles which have been over-painted black but originally appear to have been blue and green Art-Nouveau style. The entire fire basket and attachment sits on a mottled pink and black marble base. This is seated on black, blue/green tiles which itself is surrounded by a pink and black mottled marble collar.
