Summary
A hand-worked embroidered silk and beadwork shield-shaped fire screen banner, Circa 1900, edged with a twisted silk cord fringe. The banner depicts the Gibbs' family coat of arms of three black battle axes, surmounted by a single arm holding another black battle axe. The motto below in Spanish reads; EN DIOS MI AMPARO Y ESPERANZA. Only four of the six brass hooks for hanging are still in situ.
