Summary

Watercolour on paper, The Ruins at Messina, Sicily by Sir Frank William Brangwyn, RA (Bruges 1867 – Ditchling 1956), circa 1910. A scene showing the devastaion following the earthquake of 1910. It follows the central road with the façade of a grand house standing to the left, and more vernacular ruined buildings to the right.
