Blue velvet upholstered stool with limed oak frame, with ERII Coronation stamped under base, with gold braid and beige slip cover. These stools were specially commissioned for the Coronation of Elizabeth II in 1953. Made by Waring and Gillow, guests were allowed to purchase their stools after the coronation in order to cover costs for the ceremony.
