Summary
Sindh embroidered hanging or shawl. Worked mainly in magenta and aquamarine silk with a large central floral medallion and other formalised motifs, with tiny 'mirrors'(of mica?) inset in rings of buttonhole stitch. Worked on a sand coloured fine linen ground. Some small tears and mends. Late 19th Century - Early 20th Century. Oriental textile.
