Summary
Wooden washstand, base cupboard with two hinged doors standing on plain wooden plinth with central access vent. White marble top in three pieces with rounded corners, cracked on the RHS. Inset with ceramic basin marked; Shanks / VITREOUS CHINA. Two chrome taps left and right marked HOT and COLD, chromed plug and chain. Marble tile covered shelf at the back, one missing from LHS. Marble splashback in one piece, inset in wooden frame with two small projecting shelves on each side, central mirror to match mirror (NT13763.4). Decoration on doors of washstand inlaid ebony bullseyes and panels in shape of butterfly with eight rounded dome screwheads and scalloped edges. Lefthand door has metal bolts top and bottom, right hand door has metal toggle door catch on rectangular backplate. Damage to veneer of cupboard left side adjacent to door, numerous pieces of missing ebony inlay. Break on right side of white marble top, left side vertical panel unattached.
