Summary
Frontal - Altar superfrontal in gold striped silk brocade, used for Advent and Easter. Nine embroidered motifs on front - four Tudor roses and five lilies, the flowers separated by couched gold cord. Left and right-hand front edging bears; IHS - the letter I being shaped as a cross. Straight brocade section (750mm deep), embroidered edge (150mm deep). Embroidery backed with linen, heavily stained. Silk fringe (2.5mm), banded in rust, salmon pink, lime green, olive green and gold.
