Summary
Fragment of portrait head of young man turned to his left and looking downwards, probably funerary. Part of over life-size draped figure probably wearing a toga. The attractive head of a young man once formed part of a large funerary relief. The drapery on the neck shows that the head came from a life-size draped figure, probably wearing the toga. Tombs decorated with large reliefs that depicted two or three full-size figures were common on the streets that led out of the city of Rome in the late first century BC and early first century AD.
