Summary
18ct gold half-hunter pocket watch. To front, the dial is in Roman numerals marked onto outer case. A small glass window in case shows watch hands and another small dial on main watch face. Case unopened, so face dial not examined in detail. Winding knob shaft stamped, 181. Attached to the watch is a thick gold chain approx 40 cm long. Towards end is attached a wax seal stamp made of a red coloured stone in an ornate gold setting. The stamp is engraved with a crown and an arm holding an axe. At the end of the chain is a double headed stud for attaching chain to waistcoat. The flattened ends of the stud are hallmarked with the date letter, W.
