Summary
Windmill Hill child skeleton thought not previously accessioned in 2001. The block of chalk it rested on was cut out of ditch and removed intact to museum, the skeleton still rests in this matrix. The sex is unknown and the skull has been deformed by either pressure of the overlying ditch filling or disease. It rested in the bottom of the ditch with its head to east; legs flexed and hands on knees. The skeleton has undergone conservation treatment due to damp conditions. Period: Neolithic
