Summary
Narrow black leather scabbard to accompany a Civil uniform sword (NT17215.5.16.1). Has a brass mount at the top with decorative bands and a scallop shaped frog stud, and a similar brass mount at the tip also with decorative bands. Part of the uniform / court dress worn by Sir Arthur Lawley during his time as Governor of Western Australia 1901 to 1902, Lieutenant-Governor the Transvaal 1902 to 1905 and Governor of Madras 1906 to 1911.
