Summary
One of a pair of steel shoe buckles with gilt brass decoration in the black leather bound box NT17215.5.14.1. The gilt brass decoration is in the form of the English rose, the Scottish thistle and the Irish shamrock. Part of the uniform / court dress worn by Sir Arthur Lawley during his time as Governor of Western Australia 1901 to 1902, Lieutenant-Governor the Transvaal 1902 to 1905 and Governor of Madras 1906 to 1911.
