Summary
A Regency silver gilt large two handled vase shaped cup, on circular domed base chased with a band of intertwining laurel on a matted ground, the lower body with fluting and with large reeded foliate loop handles terminating in female medallions, the rim similarly chased and with two applied laurel wreaths enclosing a presentation inscription dated 1812; by Peter and William Bateman, 1812; in fitted case.
Provenance
Made by Peter and William Bateman in 1812. Loaned to The National Trust by The Croome Heritage Trust in December 2007.
