Summary
Print, Lady Jane Grey (Dudley) (1537–1554) (after Hans Holbein the younger) by George Noble (fl.late 18th/early 19th century) framed of Lady Jane Grey, from an engraving by Geo Noble of a portrait by Hans Holbein, inscribed frame verso 'Jane Grey - proclaimed Queen of England & beheaded'. Possibly acquired by Basil Gimson (1887-1953) who was involved in a pageant at Bradgate Park, Leicestershire, the ancestral home of Lady Jane Grey.
Provenance
Print, possibly acquired by Basil Gimson (1887-1953) and displayed by the Gimson family at Stoneywell, Leicestershire. On loan to the National Trust since 2012.
