Summary
Clock face. The clock face for the north side of the mechanical clock in the tower of the stable block of Penrhyn Castle. The circular face is of slate, painted black, with gold-painted Roman numerals. The two metal hands are also gold-painted. The exterior is surrounded by a limestone bezel on the building in the form of a neo-Norman chevron design in an outer ring. The drive to the hands is through a 1.35mlong shaft to the inner mechanism and there is a subsidiary mechanism at the centre of the back face.
