Summary
Telephone bell. A hardwood box with a hinged lid and screwed catch, part of a set of railway telephone equipment. An external bell is mounted on an extension of the back, and a hanger for the handset is located on one side. The operating mechanism is contained with the box; some of the mechanism is on the underside of the lid. The box is designed for wall-mounting and has four wooden pads on the back. A paper circuit diagram is affixed inside the box. A long length of white plastic-covered cable is attached.
