Summary
Railway lamp. A British Railways (London Midland Region) oil lamp. There is a steel rectangular reservoir below, and a hinged upper flat-sided steel body above. The reservoir has a screwed brass filler cap secured by a chain in ints top, within the confines of the main body. The body has a circular clear-glass lens in one side, and small circular clear-glass apertures in two of the other sides. There is a hinged semi-circular wire carrying handle above, and a hinged circular brass cover in the top secured to the handle by a chain. No wick assembly is fitted.
