Summary

Railway carriage. A 1ft. 10 3/4in. (578mm.) gauge four-wheeled open vehicle, used to transport officials and visitors about the extensive workings of the Penrhyn slate quarry, Bethesda. The wooden body has three rows of slatted wooden seats, each for two persons, and is of stained and varnished pine. A lever-operated hand brake is fitted, and the wheels have curved spokes.
