Summary
Display case. A glazed wooden display case on a low plinth, to house the model six-wheeled tender for the Midland Railway locomotive no.2601 built by apprentices at the Royal Ordnance Factory, Chorley. The glazing is on all sides and on the top. The case contains a section of 5in. (127mm.) gauge track on which the model stands, consisting of bullhead rails carried in cast chairs with outside wooden keys. The chairs are on wooden sleepers surrounded by stone chipings for ballast.
