Summary
Model railway locomotive tender. A 5in. (127mm.) gauge model of a six wheeled tender, Midland Railway No. 2601, an alternative to the bogie tender coupled to the steam locomotive 'Princess of Wales', built by apprentices at the Royal Ordnance Factory, Chorley. The wheels have outside bearings. There is a rail around the coal bunker area. The livery is 'Midland red' with yellow lining, bright red buffer beam, black axleboxes and wheels, and the number '2601' is carried on each side.
