Summary
Machine part. A wheel enclosed in a cast iron case or guard. Part of an agricultural machine or turbine. The guard is held together with iron rivots with an axle through the centre. A ring fixing is attached to the curved top of the guard. cast on each side is "O G JONES & Co PORTMADOG". there are traces of grey/blue paint to the exterior.
Provenance
Part of the collection of agricultural tools indigenous to Hendy, Hafod Y Llan. Hafod Y Llan property and contents were purchased by the National Trust on 1st November 1998. The public appeal to raise money to purchase the estate was led by Sir Anthony Hopkins, who gave the first donation of agricultural tools indigenous to Hendy Hafod Y Llan.
