Summary
Burgundy coloured leather writing case. Fastens with lock which is hallmarked silver on catch and lock. Case folds into three - the base and two equal halves to cover the front, with flap that reaches across to lock. Raised initials on front read; U.M.L. Believed to be for Ursula Mary Lawley. Maker's name in side in gold reads; EDWARDS AND SONS. 151 REGENT STREET. W. Various compartments inside. Both flaps to contain stationery. On base is a fixed box for pens etc., plus container for ink next to it, marked; PATENT.
