Summary
One of a pair of white porcelain Dresden jardinières, painted with two panels of multi-coloured birds perched on branches, surrounded by several butterfly and insect motifs. Has an underlying embossed pattern and a scalloped gilt rim with a gilt-edged shell motif either side. Gilt banding around foot and base. Maker's mark on base in blue is an intertwined scroll which reads: A R.
