R.A. / Principle Painter in Ordinary to His Majesty / Engraved by William Say Engraver / to HRH the Duke of Gloucester / London. Published Aug. 1st / 1813 by the Engraver. 92 Lawton Street, Fitzroy Square. There are two paper labels on the reverse. The first reads, Established 1860. / ALFRED DAVIS. / Printseller / and Picture Framer, / 17 KING'S ROAD, SLOAN SQUARE, / CHELSEA. The second label reads, The Right Hon. George Canning, M.P. / Prime Minister / The Marchioness of Clanricarde / The Countess of Cork / The Vicountess Long of Wraxall / The Hon. Mrs. George Gibbs, C.B.E. / The Hon. Doreen Gibbs.
