Summary
One of two Victorian silver-gilt wineglass rinsers, this one by Robert Garrard, London, 1843, engraved with the arms of the 1st Duke of Cleveland, and on one only with the initial and coronet of the Duke of Sussex, each with shallow fluted band below the gadroon rim, inscribed on the base "given by Sir Philip Sassoon Bart MP to the Marquess & Marchioness of Londonderry, 1899 28th November 1924".
