Summary
Print, engraving, Robert Banks Jenkinson, 2nd Earl of Liverpool (1770-1828) (after Sir Thomas Lawrence PRA) by John Young (1755 – Bloomsbury 1825). Black and white print on crinkle cream mount and cream backing paper. Standing male figure beside desk with quill pen in inkstand and rolls of paper. Man holding book. In 18th century costume with white stock and greying hair. Printed underneath in script; PAINTED BY THOS LAWRENCE R.A. / ENGRAVED BY JNO YOUNG ENGRAVER TO HIS R.H. THE PRINCE OF WALES / THE RIGHT HONBLE ROBERT BANKS LORD HAWKESBURY ETC ETC ETC / LONDON / PUBLISHED FEB 14 1801 BY J YOUNG NO 58 UPPER CHARLOTTE STREET FITZROY SQUARE. Frame ebonised wood with gilt edges on either side and raised pattern. At top back board, is a small circular paper label, stamped in black ink; 791BM.
