Summary
A child's oak chair, one of a pair, British or Irish, late 19th century, the backrest formed of a rectangular frame with rounded toprail, this frame inset with a close-nailed cream damask panel, the backrest frame fixed between two block-section and turned baluster-form uprights, the overstuffed seat covered with close-nailed cream damask (very worn), on turned and block-section front legs and square-section rear legs, the front and side legs each joined by a single turned stretcher.
