Summary
An Airspeed Oxford, an assembled and handpainted 'Skybird' model aircraft. Kit number 6B, 1939. The model is painted in a green and brown camoflage pattern on top and yellow underneath with yellow wing tips. There are red, white and blue RAF roundels on the upper and lower wings and fuselage. The wireless aeriel and tail wheel are bent, and there are cracks at both wing roots. Number 2 of a large collection of one hundred and thirty four painted wood and early plastic 'Skybird' aircraft models and others, mostly 1930s to 1940s.
