Summary
Print; Mezzotint engraving - Framed colour print of ladies and a young boy with animals, sheep and a bull, by a lake with signature Ernest Stamp. Double-mounted on beige and cream with the appearance of a third mount given by painting the glass black with gold double lines. Framed in a moulded black flame. Glass badly broken with central area missing. Frame mobile and dirty. Cream paper label reads;/ SUBJECT SUMMER AFTER BOUCHER / ENGRAVING RUL MEZZATINT BY ERNEST STAMP / REF.NO.W.38 / PUBLISHED BY / THE MUSEUM GALLERIES / 26 MUSEUM STREET, LONDON, W.C.A.
